Age-Specific Safety

Choose an age group to see tailored do's and don'ts that grow with your child.

Toddlers (Ages 0–5)

Physical safety & constant supervision

Do

Wear bright, neon colours at the pool

Choose neon orange, pink, or green swimwear so adults can spot your child quickly. Avoid blue, which blends into the water.

Hold hands in crowds

Markets, festivals, and busy streets are easy places for little ones to wander. Hold hands or use a safety harness/backpack leash.

Keep small objects and medicines out of reach

Toddlers explore with their mouths. Store medicines, batteries, coins, and small toys in locked or high cupboards.

Don't

Don't leave them alone near water

A child can drown in just a few centimetres of water. Stay within arm's reach at baths, pools, and ponds.

Don't rely on older siblings to supervise

Older children are wonderful helpers, but they are not responsible for a toddler's safety.
